PERSONAL

My name is Jody D’Agostini, and I am a founding member at Woman Owned Wealth. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, (CFP®), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™, (CDFA™), and Retirement Income Certified Professional®, (RICP®)

Obsessions – My family (including our 2 dogs), friends, community, and the Jersey Shore.
Hobbies – Spending time with family, staying active (primarily through tennis, paddle tennis, swimming, and walking my dogs), reading, traveling, and supporting my local parish, St. James.
Proud moment – My recent proud moment stemmed from a past tragedy. In 2013, two of my daughter’s friends were tragically lost to an opioid overdose which galvanized me to tackle the epidemic within the Somerset Hill community by founding Community in Crisis (CiC). In the fall of 2023, I had the honor of attending the National Youth Substance Use Prevention Summit where CiC received a Blue Ribbon Award from the White House. The Blue Ribbon Coalition Award recognizes high performing coalitions that do an exceptional job creating a foundation for their work by updating and utilizing their coalition products. While the opiate epidemic is one of the worst tragedies today hurting families physically, emotionally, and financially, it’s been amazing to see how CiC can support so many in need and achieve recognition at a national level.

PROFESSIONAL

Prior to beginning my career as a Financial Advisor over 15 years ago, I spent my working life in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. My original training stemmed from a B.S. in Biology from Bucknell University with a concentration in Business, and from Rutgers Medical School as a Physician’s Assistant.
In 2005, I joined Equitable Advisors as a Financial Advisor. Over the years, I’ve focused my practice in the areas of comprehensive financial planning and wealth management for individuals and closely held businesses using a goals-based, holistic approach to finances.
In 2023, my teammates and I founded the Woman Owned Wealth marketing initiative with the goal of providing holistic financial support at every stage of a women’s financial journey.

PURPOSE

Success is based on hard work, passion, commitment, and tenacity. We are in a helping profession which is one of the aspects I find most rewarding about this career. I’m proud to be a member of this team because we support each other and our clients as we would for any members of our family. I’ve been a lifelong team player and know that our shared success stems from hard work, passion, and a steadfast commitment to our clients. Nobody has achieved at a high level without help along the way and I feel blessed and thankful for the individuals in my life that have enabled me to prosper.
